FIFA CONGRESSES ARTWORK
Date: Since 1996
Every year we are asked to develop an event design for the FIFA Congress. The main challenge is to create a design motif based on a distinguishing feature of the current host country. The artwork is then featured in countless communications media as well as on the signage and branding at the event.
For the 2013 FIFA Congress in Mauritius, the event identity was centred round a turquoise wave pattern. In Budapest in 2012, the design was inspired by traditional Hungarian Kalocsa embroidery. A Swiss artist was commissioned to develop a paper-cut motif for Zurich’s 2011 congress. Zebra stripes adorned the communications media for the 2010 event in Johannesburg.
