Swisscom AGM 2012

Around 1,800 shareholders attended the 2012 Swisscom AGM in Zurich's Hallenstadion. The venue had been elaborately transformed into a themed environment consisting of three main exhibition areas, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the fascinating world of Swisscom. The theme of this year's general meeting was: the internet as the basis for our information society.Consultancy and service teams conversed with shareholders and answered their questions regarding Swisscom's products and services. A team of Swisscom trainees also presented mobile apps using iPads. The exhibition stands were built out of honeycomb tiles with a cardboard core, proving Swisscom's commitment to sustainable production and resource management. All the materials used were either completely recyclable or can be used again. When the official part of the event was over, all shareholders were invited to a drinks reception with a light buffet. They later dined surrounded by the giant 3D objects used in the current Swisscom advertising campaign, which has the slogan "Herzen gewinnen"/"winning hearts". Each shareholder also received some Swiss Alpine herbal tea and a bottle designed by SIGG especially for the occasion.

UBS Anniversary Gala

To celebrate its 150th anniversary, UBS invited long-standing customers, high-profile politicians and eminent figures from the business world to a celebratory gala in the Hallenstadion in Zurich. The occasion marked the first of a series of events and ensured that the anniversary year got off to a dazzling start. The 600 guests were received in the elegantly decorated Hallenstadion and treated to a gala dinner prepared by celebrated chef Philippe Rochat. The Basel Sinfonietta orchestra, accompanied by a diverse range of singers and musicians, presented the last 150 years in three stylistically varied acts. The Dani Felber Big Band rounded off the evening with lounge music composed especially for the occasion. President of the Swiss Confederation Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf, District President Ursula Gut-Winterberger, UBS Chairman Kaspar Villiger and UBS CEO Sergio P. Ermotti all gave speeches.A 500-strong task force was needed for the momentous occasion, not least to clear five tons of snow from the forecourt so the event could go ahead as planned.

BMW FORUM12

Future & Mobility was the theme of the 2012 BMW Forum that took place in the conference facilities of the recently opened Renaissance Tower Hotel in the fashionable Zurich West district. The day kicked off with an inspiring opening speech using the latest innovative presentation techniques. The 220 BMW dealers and salespeople attending then split off into various workshops before coming together again to listen to an entertaining and informative talk by neuromarketing expert Dr Hans-Georg Häusel. Former Miss Switzerland Christa Rigozzi was the event's charming host, introducing each item in three languages. In the evening, the guests headed to a futuristically decorated escherwyss, where they enjoyed modern cuisine and an exciting entertainment programme. This saw them wowed by artist Franck Bouroullec's incredible speedpainting show, delighted by live music from a human jukebox, and captured in fun photos taken against a Star Trek photo backdrop. At the end of the night DJ Minus 8 got everyone up and having a good time.

IWC Top Gun Gala

To celebrate the relaunch of its Top Gun product line this year, IWC hosted a big Top Gun gala in Geneva. Over 900 clients, VIPs and international guests from the worlds of culture, sport and business were invited to spend the evening on board the aircraft carrier IWC 12, which was built especially in the Palexpo exhibition centre in Geneva.Countless celebrities including Ronan Keating, Zinedine Zidane, Ewan McGregor and Cate Blanchett stepped on board the aircraft carrier and paraded past the media. Inside, guests could enter the aircraft carrier tower to admire the watch collection in an authentic setting with aircraft sounds. Waited on by hostesses in pilot uniforms, they were served American canteen food on military trays - though suitably sophisticated for such a star-studded event, of course - and Budweiser beer. Afterwards superstar Brian Ferry wowed the audience and a set by top DJ Jack E from St Tropez got the party well and truly rocking!
